My (Slightly) More Professional Bio
I am an internationally published writer and the author of four parenting books (check the “books” tab for details). Over the past twenty years–I started when I was nine, okay?–my byline has appeared in more than forty national and international magazines, on dozens of web sites and in several anthologies. I have held staff positions in New York and LA for leading publishers including Conde Nast and Primedia, and for two years served as co-host of Santa Barbara’s top rated radio program, the KTYD Early Show. I have extensive media training and have appeared on several national news and lifestyle shows as a media spokesperson for Shape magazine.
