Two million readers? Maybe 8 or 9 thousand of them will buy my book.

SheKnows knows how to stoke a girl out! The top-ten site with almost 2 million unique a month just posted this excerpt from The Parent Trip

I might need to go lie down.

  1. GIRL!!!!!
Just went and read the excerpt (which I had read and laughed out loud at in your book) on SheKnows….I think 8-9 thousand is an under-estimation.

  2. Jenna, I think you’re probably too young to even know what I’m talking about, but I laughed at this as I did when I was a new mom and read Erma Bombeck’s “I Lost Everything in the Post Natal Depression,” (still one of the best titles of all time although it does sound a bit like a country song). Anyway, I wrote a book about Erma and loved meeting her. I have a feeling I’d feel the same way about meeting you. Hope this becomes a best seller!

    Warmly,
    Lynn

  3. I remember my mom once telling me, “Honey, once you’ve had a baby, nothing will ever embarrass you again!” Truth be told, she could have said, “Once you start TRYING to have a baby….” Your excerpt had me laughing so hard as I flashed back to our own baby-making excursions – because really, nothing says, “that was good for me!” quite like kicking your man aside so you can hoist your legs up against the wall as you recline on the bed because you heard an old wives tale that this kind of assistance can help the little swimmers by giving the “downhill” advantage to finding their way!

The things we moms will do!

    Laugh out loud!
